Anna Margaret Charles, 78, of Raccoon, passed from this earthly life Monday October 19, 2015 at the Pikeville Medical Center.

She was born January 6, 1937 in Pike County, daughter of the late Tom Akers and Mary Plina Hall.

She was a home-maker and a member of the Grassy Freewill Baptist Church for more than 50 years

She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Paul Akers and John Thomas Akers; one sister, Rita Sue Akers.

Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Arnold Charles of Raccoon; one son, Paris Lee Charles and his wife Sharon Kaye of Pikeville; two daughters, Mary Elizabeth Layne and her husband Dusty of Raccoon, and Paula Kaye Hamilton and her husband James of Pikeville; one brother, Clark Akers, and one sister, Dian Lidster, both of Robinson Creek; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind many other family members and friends to mourn her passing. She will be sadly missed by all those who knew and loved her.

Doyal Dwayne Waddles, 38, of David, died Oct. 13.

He was born June 14, 1977, at Martin, son of Doyal Waddles of Leburn and Veronica Slone Bolden of David.

He was a respiratory therapist for Pikeville Medical Center and member of First Baptist Church of Blue River.

Survivors include his wife, Brandie Shepherd Waddles; three children, Bryce, Landon and Gabrielle Waddles. He is also survived by one brother, Calvin Waddles of Topmost and one sister, Mary Ann Kulp of Missouri.

Funeral services were held Saturday, Oct. 17. Burial followed in Bradley Cemetery, at Dema

Earl Douglas Howard,
